I had a strange feeling when seeing some WoaM screenshots: A.I. outlawed, and still lots of machines, how could this be technological collapse? Yet, look at the condition of this train... (Windows) from mobygames.com

These robots aren't working too, they are just an exhibition - courtesy of Nordsund's little museum of technology. (Windows) from mobygames.com
In fact, Vera was brought to investigate the murder of Maja Strand and Karl, the second victim, was killed shortly before her arrival. This is the first victim's apartment. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Here we have it confirmed: Maja Strand was a member of the Conduit, a group working to create divine artificial superintelligence. This is a part of their holy book. (Windows) from mobygames.com
A very important background of the plot is Vera's own personal tragedy. I don't want to spoil the plot, players should experience it for themselves. (Windows) from mobygames.com
WoaM is an adventure with RPG elements. Vera can strengthen some aspects of her personality (empathetic, assertive or analytical) and in turn, she develops different skills... (Windows) from mobygames.com
...Therefore, starting from day 2, some puzzles have different solutions depending on the "path" taken. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Some puzzles have a few different solutions not dependent on the "path" and new augmentations. For example, you can be sneaky and surprise Katarina/Melinda. (Windows) from mobygames.com
The northern part of town. Interesting little detail: on day 2 Vera meets a street artist, can use it to amplify one of her traits - and in turn, the finished graffiti will look different. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Eastern part of town. Unfortunately, the cafe on the left seems to be a place we can't visit... Disappointing, because I really like the graphics. (Windows) from mobygames.com
The Earth Preservation Orthodox Society is a Christian church which vehemently opposes A.I. and its supporters' parareligious ambitions. (Windows) from mobygames.com
A warning against such ambitions... I, personally, never believed in true artificial superintelligence: if we don't even understand how our own minds work, how could we replicate them? (Windows) from mobygames.com
WoaM was created by the same people as "Kathy Rain". This puzzle reminds me of the one with Kathy using voice manipulation software she got from a hacker. (Windows) from mobygames.com
Even as Vera learns, at least, who killed Maja and Karl, she still can't be sure who is friend and who is foe. Now, Katarina/Melinda suffered brain injury... (Windows) from mobygames.com
...and Vera is attacked as she tries to communicate her findings. (Windows) from mobygames.com

The final part of the game. Now Vera has to hurry - to save herself, finish the investigation... and carry the tremendous weight of a decision. (Windows) from mobygames.com
This screenshot spoils a fair bit by itself. So let's finish here, no screenshots from the 2 1/2 possible endings... (Windows) from mobygames.com
